About Miss Soltis
Welcome! My name is Brooke Soltis (Miss Soltis), and I am the owner and instructor at Soltis Music Studios. I have been teaching music, both in elementary schools and privately, since 2015, and I have been thrilled to teach in Bellingham, WA since 2022.
When I started teaching, I was teaching the way that I was taught. It got me to where I was, so I thought, "nothing wrong with that!" However, I started to realize that there were parts of the music world that were missing in my own lessons growing up.

I could read music, I could play a piece beginning to end as the composer had written, and I could play lots of scales in lots of different ways. However, there is so much more!
So I decided to bring those fantastic basics along and also incorporate all of the pieces that I felt were missing.
There's a big, wide, musical world out there, and I want my students to learn the skills to go exploring!

What I Stand For As A Teacher
- I believe in providing high quality, music lessons that are fun, inspiring, and engaging.
- I believe in focusing on the necessary basics while also enjoying music and building a lifelong appreciation for it.
- I believe in honoring individuality and personality while also helping students develop their confidence as a musician.
- I believe in continuing my own education and training to ensure that what I am teaching is relevant and interesting.
